A newsrack permit for use of a box within a city newsrack is available subject to the conditions of this section to any publication that is eligible for periodical mailing privileges of the United States Postal Service and for freely distributed non-periodical publications. To obtain a permit an applicant must first apply to the City on forms provided by the manager of the urban renewal division. Permits shall be issued on a first come, first served basis. The office of the manager of the urban renewal division shall time and date stamp the permit application at the time it is filed. The application must be approved or denied within ten business days of its filing. If the application is denied, the applicant may appeal the denial by following the procedures set forth in section 126-408 of this article. (Ord. No. 2007-68, § 1, 10-29-2007)
