It shall be unlawful for an employer to deprive an employed juror of employment or any incidents or benefits thereof or harass, threaten, or coerce an employee because the employee receives a juror summons, responds thereto, performs an obligation of or serves as a trial juror, or exercises any right under any section of this division. An employer will make no demands upon an employed juror which will substantially interfere with the effective performance of jury service. (Code 1979, § 25-84)
