(a) Generally. This article provides for the licensing and registration and the certification of a supervisor for a contractor who is defined as follows: Any person who undertakes for himself or herself or with or for another, within the City, to build, construct, alter, repair, add to, demolish or move any building or structure or any portion thereof or do any work or supervise any work for which a license or certificate of qualification is required under this article for a fixed sum, price, fee, percentage, trade in kind or other compensation, including the cost of the materials or labor or any combination thereof.

(b) Contractors working in public right-of-way. This article also provides for the first administrative review of suspension or revocation of licenses of contractors who are licensed under the provisions of article III of chapter 22. (Ord. No. 2006-78, § 1(Exh. A), 1-8-2007)
