Under this article, the city manager or his or her designated representative shall provide announcements declaring an emergency to major radio and television stations that have expressed a desire to cooperate with the City. There shall be included in such announcement the time the parking prohibition is to be put into effect and the specific snow emergency routes affected. Where feasible, such announcement shall be disseminated to those newspapers having a general circulation which includes the City. (Code 1979, § 37-54)
