(a) Under this article, profiles of grade lines shall be made, uniform in style and scale with the official profiles of the City, on which shall be shown the ground and grade elevations of all streets, avenues, alleys and public ways. The elevations of such profiles shall be based on vertical control datum provided by the engineer.

(b) For surveys where the grade lines cannot be satisfactorily determined to agree with the approved plans thereof, the engineer may refuse to issue permits for construction. (Code 1979, § 34-18)
