(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to commence the erection of any building or structure upon the line of any street, alley, easement or other public property without first having procured a survey of such premises from a professional land surveyor, licensed in the State of Colorado, and providing such evidence to the engineer.

(b) All subdivisions and additions to the city sought to be laid out in lots, blocks, streets, and alleys shall be surveyed by or under the direct supervision of a professional land surveyor, licensed in the State of Colorado.

(c) Permanent survey markers shall be set at each and every corner and angle of the outer boundaries of all surveys under this article.

(d) On completion of the surveys, a map shall be made on which shall be shown angles, position of range points, locations and elevations of benchmarks, and all other data which may serve to permanently establish and preserve the survey. (Code 1979, § 34-17; Ord. No. 2014-12, § 4, 5-12-2014)
