The open space board shall consist of nine members appointed by city council who shall be registered electors. When the council is considering the appointment of members to the board, the council shall endeavor to appoint one member from each of the council wards. The purpose of this is to provide the board with a full perspective of the entire city's open space needs through an even geographical distribution of the members. (Code 1979, § 8-374; Ord.
