(a) The following duties are imposed upon the traffic violations bureau:

(1) Accept designated fines, issue receipts, and indicate by the appropriate notation the plea of guilty by violator.

(2) Receive and issue receipts for bail from persons who must or wish to be heard in court.

(b) The following duties are hereby imposed upon the clerk of the municipal court or the clerk's designee:

(1) Enter the time of the defendant's appearance on the court docket, and forward copies of the finished docket to the police department and the city attorney's office.

(2) Request past records of defendants, and when such records are received, attach the records to the appropriate copy of the summons and complaint.

(3) Transmit the final dispositions of all cases to the police department and, additionally, transmit to the motor vehicle division all records pertaining to traffic violations. (Code 1979, § 37-9; Ord. No. 95-86, exhibit A (§ 37-9), 10-9-1995)
