The position of park ranger is established. This individual shall be the authorized representative by the director of parks and open space, and shall be charged with the enforcement of parks, utility department property used for recreational purposes, and open space regulations as promulgated through this article. The director of parks and open space may also appoint deputy rangers as the director sees fit. The park ranger and deputies shall have power to issue and serve summonses and complaints for violation of rules and regulations promulgated pursuant to section 126-67 as authorized in section 50-30 of this Code.
