(a) Prior to the issuance of any sexually-oriented business license, each license application shall be submitted to the planning and police departments for review as provided in section 86-34. The planning department shall determine whether the proposed business complies with all locational requirements set forth in section 86-556. The police department shall provide information as to whether the applicant and each of the individuals required to be listed in the license application have been convicted of a specified criminal act during the time periods set forth in section 86-551(a)(2). Such review shall be completed within 20 days after the license application is submitted to each such division or department.

(b) Prior to the issuance of any manager's license, each license application shall be submitted to the police department for review as provided in section 86-34. The police department shall provide information as to whether the applicant has been convicted of a specified criminal act during the time periods set forth in section 86-551(a)(2). Such review shall be completed within 20 days after the license application is submitted to such department.

(c) The police department shall only be required to provide the information specified in subsection (a) and (b) of this section and shall not be required to approve or disapprove the license application. (Ord. No. 98-86, § 18, 11-30-1998)
