(a) No pawnbroker shall enter into a contract for purchase or purchase transaction with any individual under the age of 18 years.

(b) With respect to a contract for purchase, no pawnbroker may permit any customer to become obligated on the same day in any way under more than one contract for purchase with a pawnbroker which would result in the pawnbroker obtaining a greater amount of money than would be permitted if the pawnbroker and customer had entered into only one contract for purchase covering the same tangible personal property.

(c) No pawnbroker shall violate the terms of any contract for purchase.

(d) No pawnbroker shall enter into a contract for purchase or purchase transaction with any individual appearing to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

(e) No pawnbroker shall be open for business during the following hours and on the following days:

(1) After 7:00 p.m. and before 8:00 a.m. the following morning;

(2) On Sunday; and

(3) On January 1, (New Year's Day), the fourth Monday of May (Memorial Day), July 4 (Independence Day), the first Monday in September (Labor Day), the fourth Thursday of November (Thanksgiving Day), and December 25 (Christmas Day).

(f) It shall be unlawful for any pawnbroker or any customer thereof to knowingly provide any inaccurate, false, or misleading information with respect to the record required by section 86-482. (Ord. No. 2000-08, § 2, 2-14-2000; Ord. No. 98-86, § 16, 11-30-1998)
