Sec. 58-41. Automatic reset of audible alarm device.
This section is included in your selections.
(a) Audible alarm devices which are installed within the city shall be designed so as to automatically shut off after the following time period:
(1) Residential audible alarm devices shall shut off after no more than 20 minutes after activation.
(2) Business and commercial audible alarm devices shall shut off after no more than 40 minutes after activation.
(b) It shall be unlawful to utilize an audible alarm device which produces an audible signal in excess of the time periods specified in subsection (a) of this section. (Code 1979, § 27-139)
