(a) Generally. Every business utilizing a police alarm system, dial alarm or audible alarm system shall notify the police chief of the names and telephone numbers of the persons who will be available at all times to render repairs or service and secure the premises during the hours of the day or night that the alarm may be activated. The notification list, which is to be provided pursuant to this section, shall be delivered to the police department within 30 days of the activation of the system.

(b) Exception. Central alarm stations need not supply the names or addresses of those businesses for which they provide alarm monitoring. Businesses which utilize the monitoring services of a central alarm station need not submit a notification list pursuant to this section. (Code 1979, § 27-136)
