Sec. 50-299. Incarceration of child.

(a) No jail sentence shall be imposed upon persons under the age of 18 who have been convicted of a violation of this Code other than traffic offenses.
(b) However, incarceration not to exceed 48 hours may be imposed upon a child for failure to comply with a lawful order of the court, including an order to pay a fine. (Code 1979, § 23-32; Ord. No. 2005-12, § 106, 4-11-2005; Ord. No. 95-52, exhibit A (§ 23-32), 9-11-1995)
