Sec. 50-291. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this division, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Juvenile child or minor means:
(1) For purposes of initiating a prosecution of a charge of an ordinance violation against such individual, a person who has attained the age of ten years and who is under 18 years; or
(2) For purposes other than those described in subsection (1) of this definition, a person who is under 18 years of age.
Parent means either a natural parent of a child, a parent by adoption, or legal guardian as defined by C.R.S. section 19-1-103, as amended. (Code 1979, § 23-25; Ord. No. 2005-12, § 102, 4-11-2005; Ord. No. 95-52, exhibit A (§ 23-25), 9-11-1995)
