(1) Code review. The business advisory board may, on its own motion or upon request from the city council, review any portion or all of this Code which impacts the business community.

(2) Ordinance review. Through the enactment of bylaws, the board shall create a mechanism for the review of proposed city ordinances which have a significant impact upon the business community.

(3) Supplemental staff support. The board shall encourage its members to be available to the city manager and the city council for the purpose of providing supplemental staff support upon those issues which impact the business community. (Code 1979, § 8-53)
