(a) Prior to the moving or relocating of any building, structure or portion thereof within the city limits, one shall have first obtained a permit to do so. A separate permit shall be required for each building, structure or portion thereof to be moved. The fee for the moving permit shall be as set forth in the approved schedule of fees. This permit for movement of any building, structure, or portion thereof shall contain information, such as size of the building, proposed route of travel, the desired time to traverse the city streets, zoning classification of the land to be used for the relocation and any other information the neighborhood services department may deem necessary. Prior to the issuance thereof, the permit shall have first been approved by the police department, fire department, water department, public works department, parks and open space department, planning department and the division of risk management.

(b) In conjunction with any permit issued for the movement of any building, structure or portion thereof into the City or within the City, the permittee shall obtain from the building division a building permit. The moving permits shall be obtained prior to or at the same time as the building permit and the moving permit shall expire 60 days from date of issuance.

(c) No person shall be allowed to move or relocate any building, structure or portion thereof, either within the City or into the City, without first having provided and constructed the necessary foundations. (Ord. No. 2015-44, § 1, 10-12-2015; Ord. No. 2006-78, § 1(Exh. A), 1-8-2007)
