(a) Gas appliance acoustical vent detail. The combustion air intake and exhaust vents required for gas appliances shall conform with the current adopted building, mechanical, and fuel gas codes. The intake and exhaust vent ductwork shall have offsets built in, so that there is no line of sight between the outside (minus the rain guard) and inlet or discharge to the gas appliance. The offset shall be a minimum of two times the duct diameter. Gas appliances are gas heaters and furnaces, gas clothes dryers, gas fireplaces and logs.

(b) Kitchen hood vent detail. The exhaust vents required for kitchen hoods shall conform with the current adopted building, mechanical, and fuel gas codes. The intake and exhaust vent ductwork shall have offsets built in, so that there is no line of sight between the outside (minus the rain guard) and inlet or discharge to the kitchen hood. The offset shall be a minimum of two times the duct diameter.

(c) Crawl space vent acoustical baffle. Acoustical baffles for crawl space vents shall conform with the current adopted building, mechanical and the schematic vent diagram shown below; side view.
