It shall be unlawful for any person to maliciously, willfully or intentionally break, damage, destroy, deface or tamper with any structure, appurtenance or equipment which is part of any water main or connection. It shall also be unlawful for any person to tamper with or knowingly render inaccurate any water metering device required under this article. (Code 1979, § 39-74)
