(a) In order to initiate a central register of sales and use tax ordinances for municipalities that administer local sales tax collection, the city finance director shall file with the Colorado Municipal League, prior to the effective date of the ordinance from which this section derives, a copy of the city sales and use tax ordinance reflecting all provisions in effect on the effective date of the ordinance from which this section derives.

(b) In order to keep current the central register of sales and use tax ordinances for municipalities that administer local sales tax collection, the city finance director shall file with the Colorado Municipal League, prior to the effective date of any amendment to the ordinance from which this section derives, a copy of each sales and use tax ordinance amendment enacted by the City.

(c) Failure of the City to file such ordinance or ordinance amendment pursuant to this section shall not invalidate any provision of the sales and use tax ordinance or any amendment thereto. (Code 1979, § 36-52)
