(a) Under this article, in any prosecution charging a violation of any regulation governing the stopping, standing, parking, or operating or permitting of a vehicle, proof that the particular vehicle described in the complaint was parked or operated in violation of any such regulation, together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint at the time of such parking or operating was the registered owner of such vehicle, shall constitute prima facie evidence that the registered owner of such vehicle was the person who stopped, stood, parked, operated, or failed to properly permit such vehicle at the point where and for the time during which such violation occurred.

(b) In any prosecution charging a violation of any regulation governing the permitting or operating of a boat, vessel, or sailboard, proof that a particular boat, vessel, or sailboard described in the complaint was permitted or operated in violation of any such regulation, together with proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such permit or operating violation the registered owner of such boat, vessel, or sailboard, shall constitute prima facie evidence that the registered owner of such boat, vessel, or sailboard was the person who failed to properly permit or operate such boat, vessel, or sailboard at the point where and for the time during which such violation occurred.

(c) The possession of wildlife shall be prima facie evidence that the person having such possession is engaged or has been engaged in hunting, fishing, or trapping. (Code 1979, § 29-106)
