(a) It shall be the duty of the director of public works or his or her designee to develop and submit for the approval of the city manager or his or her deputy, rules and regulations regarding the design and equipment to be used to implement the requirements of this article. Such rules and regulations will be effective after publication pursuant to section 2-3 of this Code.

(b) The director of public works or his or her designee shall maintain a map which shows street lighting facilities along all dedicated arterial public streets.

(c) The director of public works or his or her designee shall annually submit for approval of the city manager or his or her deputy a budget for the street lighting plan to be included in the City's capital improvement program. (Code 1979, § 34-64; Ord. No. 2014-12, § 8, 5-12-2014)
